The Journal of Dairy Sciences featured a research study entitled, “Effect of Solvent and Temperature on the Size Distribution of Casein Micelles Measured by Dynamic Light Scattering”, conducted by C.M. Beliciu and C.I. Moraru. The researchers used the NanoBrook 90Plus Particle Size Analyzer to investigate the effect of solvent on the accuracy of casein (CN) micelle particle size determination by dynamic light scattering (DLS) at different temperatures and aimed to establish a clear protocol for these measurements.

The NanoBrook 90Plus Particle Analyzer was used to obtain accurate DLS measurements of CN micelles and other colloidal particles, which were crucial for this study. Through these findings, the researchers were also able to provide a guide for conducting particle size analyses in milk.

Brookhaven Instruments offers high-grade particle size analyzers, including the NanoBrook 90Plus Particle Size Analyzer, used by scientists and researchers to get an accurate and complete DSL analysis of small particles. Brookhaven’s NanoBrook 90Plus Particle Size Analyzer is fast, noninvasive, and reliable.
