“Brookhaven Instruments’ BI-200SM Research Goniometer and Light Scattering System is critical for the characterization of colloidal systems,” said John C. Berg, Rehnberg Professor of Chemical Engineering and Director of the Engineering Centre for Surfaces, Polymers and Colloids at the University of Washington.
“We use the instrument to determine the size of dispersed particles and lipid vesicles, polymer adlayer thickness, aggregation kinetics and fractal dimensions and, for our work, its most important features are the usable angular range and computerized control of the angular position.”
Professor Berg also praised the high level of service and support his department has received from Brookhaven Instruments, “We feel well taken care of because of the personal attention and enormous help we receive from Brookhaven Instruments representatives. Their help with the industrially oriented short course in Surface and Colloid Science held every summer at the University is much appreciated.”
