Northeast Technical Sales Engineer/Representative

Company Overview

Brookhaven Instruments Corp. is a designer and manufacturer of polymer and particle characterization instrumentation located in Holtsville, New York. We are looking for a full-time Northeast Regional Sales Manager, who can work independently from his/her home office, reporting to the Director of Marketing & Sales. We are seeking a reliable and organized Sales Manager who will have the responsibility for overseeing and managing all direct and distributed sales activities in the Northeast region of the United States.

Job Responsibilities:

A successful applicant will be responsible for all sales activities in the Northeast region of the United States, including, but no limited to:

  • Developing new leads and contacting potential new customers and distributors;
  • Managing sales/agents and distributors in the territory;
  • Interfacing with customers to provide answers to technical questions, prepare and send out proposals/quotations, etc.
  • Planning and executing travel to visit existing and potential new customers;
  • Attending selected trade shows and conferences;
  • Providing technical applications advice to customers prior to sales and after sales;
  • Preparing and maintaining sales marketing support tools

Applicant Requirements:

  • Must have a masters or PHD in either Chemistry, Physics, Biology or associated science and engineering degree;
  • At least 8 years of sales experience in laboratory products and instrumentation.

Travel Requirements

  • Frequent travel (approximately 40% to 60% throughout the northeast region of the United States;
  • Must travel to Brookhaven headquarters when required.
